D.I.Y Holiday Gift Ideas!

Hey everybody! This blog post is going to be mix of different D.I.Y gift ideas! You can give this to who ever you like! This will great for Christmas! I think these are very fun and great ideas. Also at the end of this post I will teach you how to make a great gift basket! Enjoy, my lovelies. (:  * Adult supervision recommended*

D.I.Y Soap!

You will need to make the following:
- 1-2 lbs of white soap base
- 1-2 lbs of clear soap base
- reusable silicone soap molds
- cutting tool ( X-Acto knife )
- assorted cookie cutters
- heat safe container
- soap color/dye
- rubbing alcohol
- measuring spoon
- spray bottle
- plastic wrap
- two bowls
- fragrance or essential oil

First cut the soap base into cubes, put into heat safe container. Melt into microwave for 25 seconds, but make sure to put plastic wrap on top! Then another ten seconds to make the soap into a liquid. Do not over heat the soap it can bubble and burn, you wouldn't want that! Poor the liquid into two bowls and leave some in the heat safe container with equal amounts. Then add 2-3 drops of  color dye and fragrance of essential oil and mix. If it starts to harden re-heat it. Now spray alcohol to break bubbles, pour the soap into molds and let it cool for two hours. If you like to add another layer cool for three minutes before you add the next layer.  Make sure to spray alcohol each time to break bubbles. If you would like to create a cake made sure to add  four layers of soap. When it starts to harden grab a fork to create the frosting to pull the layers. Or scrape left over soap base for frosting. Let it cool for two hours. Flip the mold over to slowly take out the soap. With your cutting tool make little slices of cake! You can also make other kinds of designs shown in the video. I think the cake soap is the best to give as a gift!

   D.I.Y Gift Basket!

If you made the body butter, soap and maybe even the bath melts, lotion bars, etc. it'll be great to put into a basket and give it to a friend or relative for Christmas or their birthday.  All you need is a basket ( preferably weaved. ) and some cute items any girl would love! If you didn't make any of the D.I.Y's you can go out and buy the items. Lotion - you can buy at Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, or the Body Shop. Soap - Bath & Body Works and the Body Shop. You can buy bath melts or bath bombs at Lush. Now for the add-on's that are not D.I.Y. You can add EOS lip balm which is defiantly worth ti! It moisturizes your lips and stays on for hours. EOS can be found at your local drugstore. Since most girl hates to have boring nails give them some nail polish! You can also add hair clips such as bows and flowers. You can find them at Forever21 and H&M.
